My Research
These are works in progress that keep me busy:

| Workplace influence on union membership (JMP) | I track workers who switch employers to examine how changes in workplace union density affect their decisions to join a trade union. I find that workers moving to more union-dense workplaces are more likely to unionize, even when moving within the same occupation, industry, municipality and even firm. Workers are more responsive to union density among peers than non-peers, but show little response to local union wage premiums or proxies for workplace instability, suggesting that social norms rather than monetary or insurance incentives drive the results. |

About me
My research interests include labour economics and how social environments shape economic decisions. My current projects examine union membership, looking at the role of workplaces and experiences during childhood.
Outside of work, I’m a passionate climber. I also enjoy spending time in the countryside with my family, hiking, and doing laps on the slopes.
